Want to hear the story of Lafayette and his journey? Book Dr. Lawrence Krumenaker for a general, custom or book presentation! Here’s what others have said:
Several people with whom I encountered afterwards said that your presentation was very interesting. …. I was amazed at how you pin pointed the locations by piecing together bits of information. That was some detective work you did! – Dan Ginter, Columbus GA Sons of the American Revolution
Please accept this heart-felt thank you for your speaking to the Wilcox Historical Society. You are certainly *the* authority on Lafayette, and a most informative and engaging speaker. – Garland Smith, Wilcox Historical Society, Camden, AL
I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Your delivery was so engaging! – Dr. Shari Williams, Director of The Ridge, re presentation at Fort Mitchell, AL
NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR PRESENTATIONS IN THE SUMMER/FALL PERIOD 2025 (AUGUST – DECEMBER).
In addition to our short 20-25 minute general lafayette, the Man and his Tour program, we will offer three 45-60 minute presentations this fall:
- The original Lafayette of the state of choice from start point to end;
- A new program entitled “The Immigrant Generals” which focuses on those generals who came from overseas in the Revolutionary War to lead troops–ultimately focusing on Lafayette (and in Georgia, also Pulaski);
- And another new program that focuses on the places along Lafayette’s journey where his abolitionist and pro-Native American interests are made evident, with deeper discussion on the Creek Nation.
Additionally, these specialized topics are available as presentations: - The Augusta-Savannah River Road–History and Modern Locations–and What to Do About It.
- The Milledgeville Stage Road–History and Modern Locations and Urging Its Preservation
- The Federal Road in GA and AL–Finding It, Preserving It.
