Addenda and Corrigenda

Here is where you will find new findings after, or corrections to, the Second Edition.

  1. Using the text of an article from 1975(!) touring the River Line then as known but not officially put in any parks, we examined in February 2026 eight sites that were then recorded to have relics. Seven of the sites came out erased. The eighth one was found at the end of Polo Lane in the Atlanta Polo Club grounds, south of Kimball Creek just a few hundred feet west of the Chattahoochee River, on a moderate hill. It was identified as the North Anchor Fort, the end of the River Line on its north end. It is highly eroded on the front end of a residential property. The westernmost and highest of the earth embankments that were on the sides of the cannon placement ‘holes’ is visible from the street. (Polo Club grounds are not always open to the public and this part is private; the author was graciously escorted to the sites.
